An extension of Three Box client Chase Oaks Church, Local Good Center (LGC) is a Plano-based nonprofit meeting the community’s most pressing needs through advocacy, wellness, job readiness and education programming. In 2021, the Center expanded its services and unveiled a new facility to better serve North Texas.
Three Box was tasked with introducing the next generation of LGC to external audiences to build awareness, increase engagement and drive action.

Despite LGC’s established center in the neighborhood, the grand opening of its new facility was a chance to reengage the community, partners, media and city officials. A successful launch would help position LGC as the go-to community hub for holistic service. With that knowledge, our team developed a campaign strategy anchored with strong storytelling, compelling visual assets and LGC’s team expertise.
Three Box developed an integrated campaign that included digital and traditional marketing, media relations, graphic design and community activations. Together, Three Box and Chase Oaks:
Created engaging design assets including an invitation, educational brochure and building tour signage
Identified unique media angles and pitched targeted, hyperlocal reporters to help tell the LGC story
Enabled engaging website and social media call outs and call-to-actions
Invited local officials, community leaders and nonprofit partners through customized outreach
Submitted the grand opening event to local community calendars
Facilitated a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration, amplified by a local radio remote
Through our efforts, LGC’s brand story was adopted by local media, resulting in impactful coverage that went beyond the grand opening itself. Other campaign results included:
Approximately 300 attendees for the ribbon cutting ceremony and the community event, including the Collin County Assistant DA, AGAPE Women and Children, EXPOW, Roundtree Elementary, Family Promise of Collin County and Gift for Moms, Embrace, Way Alliance, Plano Library and Credit Union of Texas
An increase in LGC website activity on opening day, with 382 total page views and 148 new users
A spike in social media activity, with a 40% increase in Facebook page followers and 35% increase in Instagram followers compared to previous months
Within one month of its grand opening, LGG secured eight earned media placements, reaching a potential audience of 12.8M
