In 2023, Compudopt, a Texas-based nonprofit bridging the digital divide for under-resourced youth, was primed to expand its reach to Mesa, Arizona. To ensure the launch resonated locally, Three Box collaborated with our global network partner HMA Public Relations for the announcement.
With Three Box bringing a deep understanding of the brand, and HMA offering invaluable localized insight, we got to work on executing the in-market launch, aiming to boost brand awareness and position Compudopt as a trusted community resource. The resulting launch was hailed by Compudopt’s leadership as the most successful in the organization’s history.

Three Box immediately enlisted PRGN partner HMA Public Relations to help bring the announcement to life. Together, Three Box and HMA began reviewing the client’s existing event brief for the Mesa launch, identifying opportunities and recommendations for strategic engagement and discussing recommended media strategy to ensure Compudopt’s Mesa launch was met with excellence. Additionally, the team researched regional-specific data on digital equity and leveraged HMA’s understanding of the local community to inform messaging and media assets.
With a built-out media strategy and established messaging, Three Box crafted a post-event media release with executive quotes and a link to photos and b-roll, identified target media outlets and reporters, invited media to the launch event through personalized pitching, prepared Compudopt executives for potential interviews, coordinated on-site media interviews during the event and shared the news release and visual assets following the launch.
Since HMA is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, the HMA team provided onsite support for the event, including facilitating day-of media requests, coordinating executive positioning for interviews and capturing photos and b-roll for post-event pitching.
Three Box and HMA surpassed all campaign objectives, with nine earned media placements in local and national outlets, yielding 11.4 million impressions and more than $285K in media value. Additional campaign results include:
